Stolen vehicle crashes, lands upside down after pursuit

According to Rapid City Police Department Community Relations Specialist, Brendyn Medina, police responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of E. North Street. From the reporting party, they received a description of a vehicle involved in the reported robbery.
A short time later, police located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the robbery and attempted to stop it. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, which didn’t stop and led officers on a pursuit.
The vehicle lost control and crashed near the Executive Golf Course and I-190. Police later determined that the vehicle was stolen but wasn’t involved in the original robbery call.
