Updated: 6:47 AM CST December 17, 2020 EXCELSIOR, Minn. — A stretch of Highway 7 in Excelsior is closed Thursday morning after a vehicle crash brought down power lines. As of Thursday morning, Xcel Energy is reporting more than 1,500 customers are without power. Crews are on scene and working to restore power to the area. The highway is closed in both directions between Oak Street (Excelsior) and Christmas Lake Road (Greenwood) at this time. TRAFFIC ALERT: Hwy 7 is closed due to a crash near Christmas Lake Rd!
