KNBN NewsCenter1 February 4, 2021 UPDATE (2/04/21 @ 1:15 p.m.) – According to Lead Police Chief, John Wainman, the fire has been extinguished and travel has been restored in the area. Wainman said the call came in at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3 for a report of a someone driving by the business, which is located at 325 E. Main Street in Lead, who saw smoke and heard popping noises. Ray Black, the First Assistant Chief with the Lead Volunteer Fire Department, also said that two people were evacuated from a residence, which was east of the structure, due to smoke that was coming from the business. The residents are now back in their homes.
