Student Summer Readiness Program Introduced in Kalamazoo A new program for students who may have fallen behind in 2020 is being introduced in Kalamazoo. According to Mlive.com, the Summer Readiness Program is for students of all ages who struggled academically during this past school year. Public schools in Kalamazoo remain some of the last in the state to continue virtual learning for this school year. However, the intention is to be back to in person learning by the start of the 2021 school year. Get our free mobile app The Summer Readiness Program will be conducted in person Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 2:30pm over two three week sessions. According to Superintendent Rita Raichoudhuri, these sessions will also be offered virtually for those who prefer it.
