Ludhiana: Students of MCom II of Government College for Girls, Ludhiana, namely Komal and Blossom Singla brought laurels to their alma mater by clearing UGC-NET exam which was held in October. Officiating Principal Dr Gurpreet Kaur applauded the efforts of students and congratulated them for scaling new heights in life. She further wished them good luck for their future endeavours and congratulated the teachers of PG Department of Commerce for this great achievement.
Awareness programme on AIDS
The School of Nursing of Desh Bhagat University organised an AIDS awareness campaign from December 1-15 to sensitise students about the ailment. “Various activities such as poster making competition, rangoli competition and speech competition were organised to aware students of the disease. Over 1,500 students were covered during the drive,” said Chancellor Zora Singh. Professor Deepak Kumar Sandhliya, Vice-Principal, School of Nursing, gave an awareness lecture.
