DMX, whose real name was Earl Simmons grew up playing basketball at the Nepperhan Community Center in Yonkers. The center’s director Jim Bostic says there's now a proposal to build a TV and recording studio in the basement in DMX's honor. “He left a niche in the city of Yonkers for young boys and girls to feel like there's nothing they cannot achieve,” says Bostic.
