Our CorrespondentWokha, Aug. 15 (EMN): Deputy Chief Minister, Nagaland Y Patton, on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day celebration said the state, along with the rest of the country, has made good progress, ever since it was inaugurated in 1963, and successive governments have contributed towards the development efforts. Wokha district celebrated the day at local ground in Wokha, with the deputy chief minister as chief guest.  “We have redoubled our efforts on building the talents of our people, and to provide them with a supportive and facilitative environment by way of infrastructure and better services. Resultantly there has been a significant improvement in the lives of our people. We, however, remain mindful of the unresolved issues,” he stated. Ten parade contingents including DEF, Wokha, 7th NAP, Home Guards, Ex-Army, Mt.Tiyi College NCC, GHSS NCC, DBHSS NCC, Bharat Scout and Guides and Fernbrook School took part in the march past, while the parade was led by Asstt. Commandant 7th NAP Y Ashito Aye as the parade commander.
