The Sudanese government vowed to work with the Ethiopian parties to enhance Ethiopia’s unity amid the current conflicts in the African country.
In a statement, Khartoum said it would work with the regional and international community to achieve peace in the neighboring country, following an emergency meeting to assess the overall situation.
It also urged all conflicting parties to sit around the negotiation table, and ensure humanitarian aid access to all those in need. The conflict in Tigray Ethiopia has driven over 70,000 refugees into impoverished eastern Sudan. The United Nations agencies and aid groups struggle to evacuate them from the border and provide them with shelter.
