Wicked Local SUDBURY — The K-8 public schools' budget will rise by 2.58 percent for fiscal 2022, assuming it meets with the Town Meeting approval. The all-in budget is expected to be $43.7 million, just over $1 million than the current year spending. At the public hearing on the budget, Superintendent Brad Crozier said that there were several new line items in the budget, which expand upon the current levels of staffing and service. Additional staff for 2021-2022 will include an assistant technology director, general and special education support staffing, as well as a number theory teacher who will teach a section of high school math to eighth graders who will have completed all of the available math curricula at Curtis Middle School and three additional custodians to help keep the schools clean and sanitized.
