Two district sources told WINK News Adkins sent an email announcing his plans to all district employees. His plan is to retire at the end of June, which is when his employment contract is up, according to a copy of Adkins’ email obtained by WINK News. School district spokesman Rob Spicker said Adkins has been thinking about this for some time and his announcement allows for an orderly transition.
