Springfield Police attempted to stop Dylan Edward Ohman, 40, for running a stop sign on his dirt bike at Gateway Street and Kruse Way at 9:38 p.m. Officials say Ohman immediately took off westbound on Beltline Road into Eugene, reaching speeds up to 75 mph. He then took the Coburg Road exit and headed westbound on Crescent Avenue. They say he drove his dirt bike onto the bike path near Delta Highway and Beltline Road. Police stopped the pursuit out of concern for pedestrians on the path. A short time later, they located the suspect's dirt bike ditched in a bush nearby. Multiple units responded to the area and set up a perimeter.
