Suspect arrested with sawed-off shot gun and meth

Sandy Bay Detachment – Police Update: On June 3, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m., while on routine patrol Manitoba First Nations Police Service Officers were waved down by a Sandy Bay First Nation community member who indicated that they saw a male leave a local residence with a loaded sawed-off shotgun.
Officers immediately conducted patrols and were receiving numerous calls from Sandy Bay community members stating that this male was also seen walking around the community with the weapon in his hand. Police located the suspect behind a residence in Sandy Bay First Nation and convinced the suspect to drop the Weapon. The suspect complied and was arrested and taken into custody without incident.
