Suspect charged in fatal Houma party shooting Staff A suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Houma party last month. The Houma Police Department has charged Landon Johnson, 23, of Thibodaux, with one count of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Johnson’s arrest resulted from a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of Nov. 21 at the Main Event Center, 1101 East St. in Houma that claimed the life of 36-year-old Jason Livas, of Thibodaux. Police were called out around 12:23 a.m. and found Livas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
