Frankenmuth police believe the carriage and a white Jeep Compass were headed northbound on Main Street when the Jeep Compass hit the back of the carriage. A short time after the crash, the suspect called a wrecker service and said he hit a deer, Frankenmuth Police Chief Don Mawer said.
