The Dispatch The suspension of a Lexington doctor's medical license who is accused of performing inappropriate breast exams on female patients could end on April 1 if he follows requirements issued by the N.C. Medical Board, according to a consent order on the board's website. Dr. Sohail Bazel resigned from his employer on March 31, 2020. His former employer reported to the medical board it had received two, separate complaints from women that he "performed inappropriate breast examinations on two patients." The board said in a consent order filed on Feb. 9 that it suspended Bazel's medical license for a year, retroactive to April 1, 2020, through March 31, 2021.
