Share Updated: 8:07 PM EDT Jun 16, 2021 An SUV crashed into a store along Main Street in Falmouth Wednesday afternoon.Video from the scene showed first responders surrounding the vehicle which smashed into Cape Cod Gold and Silver Coin, breaking the glass storefront and leaving a path of debris. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Falmouth Fire Department. Officials said the SUV struck the building at 422 Main Street, leaving what they classified as significant damage to the building and to the vehicle. First responders said the impact dislodged a sprinkler head, causing water to flow into the basement of the building, compromising the electrical system. Power was secured to the building and there were no injuries reported, Falmouth first responders said. The accident was under investigation by the Falmouth Police Department.
