York Regional Police have arrested and charged a Vaughan teen in multiple swatting incidents.
Swatting is tricking police into dispatching emergency responders to a fake report of an ongoing high-risk incident.

On Nov. 20, 2020, police were called to Tommy Douglas Secondary School in Vaughan for a male inside the school with a gun. Officers responded to the call only to discover the call was a hoax.
On Nov. 28, 2020, police were called to a home on Via Borghese in Vaughan where a person reported a neighbor had shot his cat and dog. That call was also a hoax.
