Syracuse will get its 1st dog park this summer, thanks to group of donors Updated Jan 11, 2021; Facebook Share Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse will get its first and only dog park this summer, thanks to a group of local donors and a big chunk of money from a local dog groomer. The city’s parks department will start construction on the new dog spot this spring. It will be located at Ormand Spencer Park, between University and Walnut Avenues just south of Erie Boulevard. The money from the park comes from a fundraiser started last fall by Common Councilor Michael Greene.
