Tabor: City is working for a win-win deal on McIntyre project

John Tabor
The McIntyre Subcommittee is working diligently to redevelop this 2.1 acre parcel downtown in a way that benefits the public while activating the site for private development. The city and development partner Redgate Kane reached an interim agreement last spring to work together to come up with an improved plan with more public benefit. The Subcommittee has engaged the public through a broad-based survey last August and then the Portsmouth Listens study circles this winter. We are now at an exciting point where our urban design firm, Principle Group will finalize sketches for a better project which we can negotiate with Redgate Kane.
