Talks to be held on placing 'no engine idling' signs within city centre TALKS are to be held to see if "no engine idling" signs can be placed within the city centre and outside schools. It comes after the motion was put forward by Councillor Atiqul Hoque, at Monday night's full city council meeting. Cllr Hoque's motion said: "Consistent with its environmental commitments and objectives, Salisbury City Council (SCC) wishes to see Wiltshire Council (WC) install ‘no engine idling' signs within the City Centre and adjacent to schools, and requests that an officer to officer dialogue commences to achieve this objective."
