Tank: Saskatoon jumps the tracks in addressing railway crossing delays

SHARE STORY
Waiting for a solution to the issue of rail delays in Saskatoon feels like being a motorist paused at a railway crossing for a train so long you can’t see the end.
Luckily, we have lots of entertainment to pass the time.
During the fall election campaign, former mayor Don Atchison resuscitated the pitch from his unsuccessful 2016 bid that rail relocation could be achieved by Saskatoon city hall.
He added a ridiculous twist this time by claiming that only his personal magnetism could convince Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. to spend close to $600 million to move train tracks outside the city.
