Speaking at the iconic Tally Room, following a concession speech from Opposition Leader Rebecca White, Mr Gutwein said it was "time for Tasmania's next chapter". Ms White attributed the Liberal win to Mr Gutwein’s decisions around keeping the Tasmanian community safe during the coronavirus pandemic. "All around the country we've seen incumbent government rewarded for their management of COVID-19, and there's no doubt that Peter Gutwein and our public health officials kept our community safe and tonight's result reflects that.
