Team Rubicon Canada has had a very couple of months on first nations in northwestern Ontario. First team members went to Neskantaga, then earlier this month, Muskrat Dam and finally White Dog. Team lead Eric Goodwin says it has been a challenging time, but very rewarding. “The first two operations we conducted, we believe were successful,” states Goodwin. “We’ve received very positive responses from the communities and also from our volunteers who have found it extremely rewarding to work with indigenous populations here in the north.” Team Rubicon Canada responds anytime there is a state of emergency and is dispatched by the Provincial Emergency Operations Center.
