Thane: Two-year-old leopard rescued from Yeoor range of Sanjay Gandhi National Park

The forest department had received an alert on Tuesday afternoon stating that a leopard was near the restaurants at Yeoor and wasn't moving much. The forest department suspected it to be injured or unwell but when they reached the spot the big cat was nowhere to be seen.
"On Wednesday morning again, we received a call stating that the wild animal was back at the same spot. Two teams of six rescuers and 20 forest officials each, reached the spot,” said Rajendra Pawar range forest officer, Yeoor.
