According to Groton City police, Kendal Fluker, 43, of 239 Benham Road, Apt. 18, Groton, was charged with first-degree criminal attempt to commit assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief. He was released on a $500,000 bond and has an April 14 court date in New London. Police began investigating on March 18 after a complaint of a shooting on Benham Road in Groton City. "The investigation revealed that this was an isolated incident and the victim was not injured. Investigation is continuing, no further arrests are anticipated, and no danger to the public at large is anticipated," police said in a news release.
