Published December 13. 2020 12:01AM In a recent letter Ronald Cummings of Madison states that the swing in voting in our area “may be in part attributable to the local public school system in fostering critical thinking.” That, sir, is brainwashing, as practiced in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It should be condemned. Schools are there to educate, not to instruct students in political correctness and as to which party to vote for. We should learn from past mistakes and not repeat them.
