Montville — A Rhode Island woman was arrested on driving under the influence and other charges early Wednesday after she allegedly traveled the wrong way on Route 2A in Montville and Interstate 395 in Norwich for about 10 miles.
Madison Jamak, 25, of North Providence was charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and second-degree reckless endangerment. She was released on a $1,500 cash bond and is scheduled to appear June 9 in Norwich Superior Court.
Police said they received a report at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday that a dark-colored car was traveling the wrong way on Route 2A in Montville. Police did not locate the vehicle in that area, but troopers spotted the car traveling north in the southbound lane on I-395 in Norwich in the area of Exit 14.
