Repeka Nasiko Youths unload food rations at Nasowata settlement in Lautoka. Picture: REINAL CHAND Lautoka District Council of Social Services (DCOSS) volunteers last week distributed food ration packs to 60 families who were in need of food. Lautoka DCOSS representative Mesake Rokotabuivalu said they received requests for food packs from their members who were heavily involved in supporting government’s health screening efforts. “We have Lautoka DCOSS members who are out there in the community helping with COVID-19 contact tracing and health screening and when they come across a family or a household that is in desperate need of help, they inform us,” he said.
