The future of the workplace is about sparking connections over coffee Details In a little over a year, the definition of a workplace has changed. The physical boundaries separating our work and personal life blurred phenomenally as we adjusted to a new world in the wake of the pandemic. With the normalisation of remote working, and the demand for flexible hours and arrangements, the virtual workplace has meant there are lesser opportunities for building rapport with colleagues and maximising employee engagement. Coffee has always been a cornerstone of an office culture, and a key component of a wellbeing-centric workplace, acting as a trusted friend, and helping us to bond with our colleagues and focus on work. As a facilitator of human connections, coffee moments can go a long way in building the workplace of the future, as we found out through our study.
