The final segment of a three-phase construction process began last week at Centreville Public Schools. Superintendent Stephanie Lemmer said work began April 2, the first of 10 days during which the district is closed for spring break. Lemmer said the scope of work will be broad and have an impact on both of the district’s two buildings. “There’s no inch of this district that is going untouched this summer,” Lemmer said. “The way that everything was scheduled within the scope and sequence of the work, projects that they knew the cost would increase over time, they tackled those earlier so we could get more for our money. So, now we’re tackling things that are pretty widespread, and they’re pretty invasive.”
