FRANKLIN TWP. – Rescue crews from across southern Gloucester County pooled their resources to free a man struck in a marsh on Wednesday. “A nearby neighbor overheard the gentleman yelling for help and contacted the authorities,” Franklin Township Police Department Lt. Matt DeCesari said. Rescuers located the man in an area just beyond the tree line near Indian Branch, just off Delsea Drive. “He was out in a marshy area with a stream running through it,” DeCesari said. “He had latched onto some trees.” The man sat on the trees until rescue personnel reached him. Firefighters, rescue, marine units and all-terrain vehicles from Franklinville, Forest Grove and Malaga assisted with search and rescue.
