The Maori Party's apologising for declaring 300-thousand dollars in donations too late

The Electoral Commission must be told within 10 working days of donations over 30-thousand
But three large donations made to the party around the last election, were only declared this year.
As a result the matter's been referred to police.
Party President Che Wilson says rookie error is to blame, and they regret the mistake.
He says the last thing they want to do is put all of the hard work of everyone throughout the country into question, which is why they alerted the Electoral Commission.
