When we are too tired or too busy in our daily activities to be able to meditate, we can recite mantra to protect our mind from becoming negative. The meaning of mantra is protection for the mind. A mantra can remind us of our good intentions and help us to draw closer to the enlightened pure qualities of whichever Buddha’s name mantra we are reciting. On this half-day online and in person workshop from 10 – 1pm we will learn more about the meaning and functions of reciting the special mantra of all Buddhas. As the author, Geshe Kelsang says in The New Meditation Handbook: “It helps us to improve our motivation, to develop a good heart and a controlled mind, and to increase our energy for practising Dharma” (Buddha’s teachings).
