Studio Collective is designing the project The Shay, a Destination by Hyatt hotel is a 148-room boutique hotel slated to open late summer 2021 in the Culver City neighborhood of Los Angeles as part of the Ivy Station development. The new hotel is being designed by boutique agency Studio Collective. The hotel will provide warm, engaging, and inviting spaces to convene, create, and play from flexible indoor-outdoor wedding and event spaces to the first rooftop pool in Culver City. The hotel will comprise loft-like guestrooms and an expansive lobby featuring a communal game room, craft cocktail bar, retail pop-ups, and self-guided art tour featuring Culver City and LA-based artwork that adorns the hotel’s walls with informational QR codes to correspond with each piece.
