Third Olpe City Council incumbent files for re-election; USD 252 board adds candidate

Lyon County's election ballot continues to fill out.
Michelle Dedmon, one of three incumbents on the Olpe City Council, has filed for re-election. The other incumbents, Leslie Farr and Rick Jones, have filed for re-election, with newcomers Jack Hayes and Nolan Kehres also on the ballot. Another five candidates would be needed to force a primary Aug. 3.
Also, Timothy Bailey has filed for USD 252 Southern Lyon County School Board Position 6, a position currently held by Steve Redeker who has not filed for re-election at this time.
The filing deadline is noon June 1, or about two-and-a-half weeks away.
