THON 2021 By The Numbers

This year,
592 Penn State students
danced during THON Weekend to raise awareness and fight childhood cancer. Some were based out of branch campuses, most were supported by organizations, and a few even danced independently.
Dancers stood for
34 hours this year given the sleep breaks from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday and Saturday night.
All dancers would’ve stood for
46 hours
in the Bryce Jordan Center had we been there. Some dancers still took on this incredible feat without the energy of the BJC!
There were
16 various THON committees that worked together to pull off such a successful event. Hospitality provides dancers with food and beverages while Entertainment coordinates the various bands we see throughout the weekend. The other committees fill in the gaps and keep THON running like a well-oiled machine!
