Three Guam Police Department officers were placed on administrative leave after firing their weapons at a vehicle following a high-speed chase, according to police and court documents.
The pursuit began after a black Jeep was stolen in Tamuning and driven to Yigo. The driver at one point rammed into patrol cars and injured an officer in the process, while the passenger was seen throwing items at and shining a flashlight at the police to block their vision, according to a magistrate's complaint filed in Superior Court.
Anthony Luis Parteko Camacho, 26, and Leilani Kaitlyn Wright, 20, allegedly stole a black Jeep Wrangler from a Tamuning residence. The owners of the jeep were going to a party at a friend's house when they had left their vehicle on for about 20 minutes while they were inside, according to the complaint.
