THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay’s vaccination rates dipped last week, but only slightly. The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Monday announced 8,445 vaccines were administered in the district last week, 2,514 fewer than the week prior. However, the district did cross a significant milestone in the week ending on May 29, crossing the 100,000-dose threshold. A total of 104,078 doses have been given out, including 87,563 first doses. Of the total population, 53.8 per cent have had a first dose. Of those 18 and older, 64.3 per cent have had their first shot, while of those 12 and older and eligible to get a vaccine, 61 per cent have been vaccinated.
