Thurston County looking to distribute 800 expiring vaccine doses by end of week A West Seattle vaccine clinic managed and staffed by the Seattle Fire Department. (MyNorthwest photo) Good news for anyone hoping to get a Pfizer vaccine: Thurston County is looking to distribute about 800 doses set to expire by the end of the week. South Puget Sound Community College is hosting a drive-thru clinic on Sunday to help distribute the expiring doses. All moms who get their shot on Sunday will be given flowers in celebration of Mother’s Day. There is also a walk-up clinic at Thurston County’s Public Health building in Olympia running from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday. People receiving doses can expect the vaccination process to take roughly 30 minutes, an estimate which includes a 15-minute post-vaccine wait time.
