ROCK SPRINGS — What began as a close ball game in the opening frame turned into a blowout after the second inning as the Rock Springs Tigers defeated the Green River Wolves in high school softball action last night. Green River took a 4-3 lead after the top of the second inning, but an 8-run outburst by the Tigers in the bottom of that inning lead to a 14-4 victory for the home team. This is the second time in a month that Rock Springs has earned a decisive win over their Sweetwater County rivals. The Tigers defeated the Wolves 14-3 on March 30 at the Paul J. Wataha sport complex.
