Photo Provided The Tinker 2021 Air Show has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of the Air Force announced this week. The event, which was scheduled for June, was cancelled earlier this month. The installation intends to provide a show in spring or summer 2022 as an alternative. In a Jan. 8 memorandum, Col. Paul Filcek said through prevention strategies and adhering to safety policies and practices, Tinkerâs positivity case rate has stayed lower than the state and local counties, despite case averages rising every month. Filcek said the cancellation of the event was necessary to continue Tinkerâs diverse defense responsibilities.
