The snowfall has made it unsafe for the city council’s waste collection vehicles to go out. Today’s scheduled collections (which were due to catch up on collections that normally would have happened on December 25) will now be made on Monday January 4. A spokesman for Worcester City Council said: "We apologise to residents for this inconvenience, especially as this coming Friday’s collections had already been rescheduled for Saturday, January 2. "Residents who put their bin out for collection today are asked to take it back in. "We will collect any side waste that people put out on January 4, when we do the catch-up collections.
