(La Crosse School District photo) LA CROSSE, Wis., (WKBT) — The La Crosse School Board approved the hiring of Nicki Pope as the new principal of Northside Elementary/Coulee Montessori, effective July 1. Pope, who will replace retiring principal Laura Huber, has 10 years of administrative experience, including being principal of Lemonweir Elementary School in Tomah, Wis., since 2012. Before that, Pope was special education director at the Cooperative Educational Service Agency No. 4. She also has six years of experience as a special education teacher.
