Traffic stop for headlights off nets passenger arrest Alexander Jones A 33-year-old Oakdale man riding in a car stopped by Ceres Police for not having headlights turned on was arrested Thursday evening for an arrest warrant. At 9:52 p.m., Officer Brian Chandler conducted the stop on Richland Avenue near Hatch Road after seeing the vehicle traveling with its headlights and taillights off. A rear seat passenger, Alexander Jones, 33, of Oakdale, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by Oakdale PD. Jones was also on probation for possession of a dirk/dagger. During a search, a large dagger and drug paraphernalia were found in Jones’ backpack. He was charged with carrying a concealed dagger, possession of drug paraphernalia, probation violation and the warrant.
