3 pm glass ceiling blinds Premier League Sunday friends to face the rage vs arsenal. I followed by His Majesty a nice easy Aston Villa from 430 feet is your full station this is 5 life. Well gravely and Frank you for joining us tonight at 6 minutes past 10 the prime minister is holding a meeting of the government's emergency Cobra committee after the terror attack in London which has left 2 people dead and several others wounded a man wearing a fake bomb vest stabbed several people near London Bridge before being tackled by members of the public and then shot dead by police security sources told the b.b.c. Tonight that the money carried out the attack was known to place and had connections to terror groups metropolitan place has declared their talk a terrorist incident earlier the Met commissioner question attack octave us it is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to inform you that as well as the suspect who was shot dead by police. 2 of those injured in this attack. On the London Bridge area have tragically lost their lives. My heart goes out to their loved ones and to the 3 further injured victims. Who I understand are being treated in hospital and of course to everybody who has been affected by today's terrible and mindless events. The attack started at fishmongers 4 in the city of London. My understanding is that police were called at 13582 minutes to 2. And city of London police officers had to bravely. And professionally confronted the suspect by 1403 just 5 minutes later. If you are concerned about anyone who was there today please try to contact them and if you cannot then get in touch with us. I want to thank all the emergency service personnel who are currently working tirelessly to deal with this incident particularly the police officers from the Mets and the city. Who have worked so closely together to protect the public. I also want to thank the members of the public who have helped either. By showing extraordinary courage and stepping in to tackle tackle this attacker or indeed by following the instructions they've subsequently been given by officers at the scene and in the area. This support from our public assists us much more than you could know. In the coming days you will see more police both armed and unarmed patrolling our streets to help reassure those who are understandably concerned. Similarly our counterterrorism detectives will be working around the clock. To identify those who have lost their lives. To support all the victims and their families. We are also working at full tilt. To understand exactly what has happened and whether anyone else was involved. Well. Bosch was on a bus with a young family unsolved incident concave thank Hi good evening good evening what did they. Say I was on a southbound number 21 bus and I noticed people running across the road into on to the traffic on the bridge and sort of looking over their shoulders filming over their shoulders and then when I looked where they were looking there was sort of a tussle going on so a number of sort of men wrestling with each other. I eventually realized that it was mostly 3 policeman and a very tall bedded man who they finally managed to get on the ground and then as soon as that was and no one around they shot him with 2 loud pops I didn't see that executive you know you hear it you're not sure what's going on. And the guy lying there then sort of opened his jacket. Vest and I wasn't really sure the significance of the vest but any chance it might be an expose about what you see as Yes yeah we want to talk rationally carriageway like when we was sure if it was just a spike a stab fest or if it was an exposé vest but he was obviously trying to make a showing of showing it and at that point the police officers back to right off. And of course our bus was stopped only a few meters away so that was a slightly scary moment and what happened next. At that point it was sort of a standoff you know that was at that point there was no other police or ambulances or anyone just 3 armed policeman who don't already shot 2 shots as far as I knew. And the guy was replying that he I think it's been shot but he was sort of lying that and then the traffic head up ahead and my fellow passengers urged the bus try so to get moving so we we could be clear if the area just in case there was a chance of an explosion I was obviously really concerned about my my young baby so I was ready with them for that so that. People running away at the time or because I always see some people running towards. The point that we saw mostly the police with guns and people had realised and were running away so at that point people went running towards the perpetrator he was pretty much isolated at the point that they the shots were fired there was no one around except him did you have time to be frightened. No not really I mean I thought it was a I don't know London street fi so something and then the only time I got really frightened was when I saw that he was exposing some sort of vest and we were only a couple of metres away and then I thought gosh we might be in the firing line and obviously you don't want to get off the bus because in previous incidents own London Bridge has been more than one attacker so you don't know what else is going on around so at that point we just so cautious is dangerous but I guess we safest where we are. And always lean on the chief find some other pack run to the u.s. Feel lucky. I mean I've yeah I knew absolutely as he was we was so so very lucky to well that it was shut down to quickly but obviously not before some people were injured. And just having felt I'm just so close Op What do you say about those people who did run into danger those members of the public he did not have weaponry did not have protective clothing but they Rahman on land top of this mom to stop them own it and incredibly back brave incredibly brave and actually. What could cause hospital before and some of my colleagues were the ones who ran on to St Thomas's own who witnessed the bridge and helped in the previous incidents and it's I'm really proud of all of them it really watching the footage of the man walking away with a knife it's just it makes your heart warm to think that there are people out there you know so that innocent people standing by you know with a prom you know who can't get away quickly who can't defend themselves and these very brave young the strong people were doing that for you it's an incredible. Boss Johnson has described attests to members of the public is heartbreaking and said there would be an unconscious police presence on the streets following the atomic does that leave you with a sense of fear for the future not. Really I mean you know these things going to happen I've been in London you know I was I was in London Bridge when there was the Northern line of of the 2007 you know 2 forming. But I live in Barrow when there was the previous London Bridge for Monk and I just feel that these people the cow it's you know the. Kind of scary that just and knowing thank you for talking to me tonight thank you very much indeed thank you very much going to. Quarter past 10 this campaign back into the big Alexion debate we've heard tonight 7 Party 7 politicians have been informed on off to win your vote the professor of politics a chance for university my Flinders with me tonight as are loads of you have been calling us Jackie in Manchester for example Hello Jacki Hey are you Dan I'm good thank you good thank you for calling us tell us what you made the band I think will be good and I really feel they're good I think it's a good opportunity to show for the politicians to get their ideas out and to sharpen their ideas and actually the public benefit from from these debates by you know for effect a stage for accountability that we wouldn't otherwise have had we have an additional sense of accountability they have towards us and I actually think it's a kneejerk reaction amongst the public these days to always assail their old rubbish you know believing they're liars I mean I think we can discern those who really are just playing the game in annoying us and we can also spot those who are genuine de Saint good people trying to stir up a conscience it's about time that you know that knowledge might be made as well. By voting for voting for Jeremy Absolutely I think it's a blessing because I think the good decent man I think you like a socialist motion agenda and if it is the case that we don't know which is a better world to to draw the bets on Germany but I'm actually voting for him as a positive sense that his agenda is right for the time we need this revolution in the country we need to take care of the maybe not the few totemic So Senator Chuck if you will because I'll bring plannin from Bolton and Peter in from can tell you a plan Oh hello there and Peter hello brave man Hi Peter so Jackie has just been on she's still with us is a Labor voter you Peter a Lib Dems voter you plan a tour even or. What you're going for Boris 1st man mustn't play because I thought to leave. The moment. The Conservative Party is the only one who said it will definitely get it done so I don't see any of the charters do any of the tries I would have thought was the bricks that patch it but then I'm going to get into Number 10 and lay. This said at better deal both I'm all for kind of a ref. Vote but there's only going to pay a select question for the votes all no it's got to be conservative. Why do you say I'm for sure thing because I'm not a conservative. I've never voted Conservative. The only ones I can see will get actually get Brecht don't so we leave. What would you say to him Jacki I think this idea of getting prickly on it. Is myopic and Ok yes some people are hurt and some people are rightly heard like yes we had a referendum which we should not have had also we had a referendum when we didn't get the information which is different from saying people didn't know what they were including for some people voted for things that we didn't have any idea about overlooking what to do with our. Referendum do you want to be a hero or do you want to. It was a simple question I agree so I agreed I thought it. Was. Good enough contrast we should be able to manage ourselves we did it before we have to judge the common market so why coming up a good Great Britain again you know I agree with you I agree with you that we had a referendum people voted is that for minimum we had promises that have been broken and when I say that when we booted said we didn't have the information I'm not so we didn't know what we were doing I'm saying we didn't have all the information that we should have had to have made an informal Under saying then we as a great brick time rather than our own comics a lot with his before we joined the common market I think that the e.u. Offers us a way to work with all this if not about the fact that we can stand on our own we may be able to work. We worked with others before. We went to pay money to any of the content to work with them coming out just keep the money and spend it on ourselves. I think for Beijing because fortunately I think the most of the European countries that's why they don't want us to leave. Well I think there are many things going on here actually do think that we may not be as strong as the strong superpower that we have been in the past but to change. We should be able to paint is because kind of dictated to by Europe and the rules the only of it was the way I think it was 2 weeks ago when they were talking about bricks on the b.b.c. Breakfast cost and they said. All overrides u.k. And all of us should they should they should they are all I mean I agree with you I totally actually understand and agree with you I think I actually do take the position that it's better to stay and reform than come out I don't think we should be out in our own in this dangerous world I think where we can find alliances and goodwill and friendship and you know if we don't think friendship we've got the Commonwealth when there was a contrast. And I'm an economic basis Well I mean it's a huge market I mean one day not stop here of course no to but say so and. So that we can make trade. The rest of the world the time to do that. And I tell you what I am if I weren't going to vote for anything else I would absolutely vote based on what Jeremy Carr Corbin says about the n.h.s. I would not take any chances with the n.h.s. . You honestly believe it and try. To punish the state of government puts out the check they would never happen because I tell you why because the paper in this contract. What a totally rebel accent state that Delilah didn't know that's what happening right there right there with the link in the middle Peter your turn now I'm going to spell it with this toll revised plan on me my colleague is leaving and landfall Good evening Tim I'll say good evening good evening but being wrong I don't want to be rude but I mean you are living totally in the past the boat has moved on every economic full cost as they could to be better off staying in the end the brick state will be solved the growth rate will fall so saying you know I will be wanting to flee off if we leave is just nonsense and also the other team football wrist Johnson who is a jewel liar of just got written down here and some of the lawyers he's come out with with 80000 tokes walking down all streets if we remain and then saying to Michael Crick I didn't mention time before to hospitals when these are new refurbishing $6.00. I suggest. Notices when the 18000 or already they're saying you don't need a new documentation to go to Ireland when the practice secretary says you do Boris Johnson says no ringing me up and throw the paper why most common Colombiana life is about people not on how to solve my problem is what we were talking about or is Don't know if. You know can I just say this place Boris Johnson has cited in this money fast not emote tax increases for 5 days so you tell me how he is coming to pay for any of these promises he's made this he's refusing to run this time and I'm amazed by that is hiding from scrutiny from any no I'm tryna nail the climate debate he doesn't want to be questioned hard about all the lies he's saying. And frankly you know the. German hoping I'm not talking about Germany call them talk about Boris Johnson the man your Highness I wouldn't want what I'm going to talk about Jeremy Colby all not by you tonight just Winston Caroline Lucas and Nicholas spoke from the heart they wrote on this they presented talks and asked for issues to not just felt that he was a like a Boris Johnson precise to being promoted to the Treasury team coming out with a robotic arm says get bricks it done great bricks it when we had to go got a friend like you and I hunted when we operated plans for you to vote no problem but to do vocal mass when you we had the referendum obviously to remain because the country will be economically better off and we have so much in common with Europeans and what about all of their actions that make the majority. Change to leave a tiny small majority positive not a lady like Jerry played by Nick also a lady has said 3 in the hall is on we now know the impact and the danger is gone even though it Heseltine on the whole side tell you could go saying Johnson is launching it will be studied dangerous to leave in the. Parliament where it the way it is because all give the POTUS and politicians they stuck with every little good because they have got the knowledge to try and stop the state interest Breck's it and they're doing it on behalf of the people in the country a lot and I remember when that when said about a stacked referendum. Costing Tilley. The container got to Puck's straightaway Oh no it's not I'm climates caught up in fake law Chuckie knowledge of this all of this. Money is going up in people's pockets I disagree. I mean that I mean the day unemployment's letter is it no. Unemployment might have gone up but people are coming up to the equation the call child. Time one time I don't. Know because of the touch that's so you've got more money in your pocket Yes but you might not get to get a bit get a bed in the hospital this winter you know the austerity that people have died on the air is not a joke is not itself a modern urban myth it's true it's true it's real and I'm one of them something with agreeing with the gentleman who was just speaking a while ago this thing with this big discussion this morning with you know bar a turnip for the climate debate blah blah blah this is exactly what he did during the the conservative leadership leadership election he frustrated and a voided scrutiny and then. This bubbling. Whatever it disarming behavior doesn't wash u. Conn and better because they want what all kinds of polling Gys I'm not the party of like complaining having to apologize. And always make a stand of what he believes Boris Johnson said when he became leader on the steps of Downing Street he'd go to prepare and planned for social care home to 9 years of nothing it's found on the Tory money fast there is no prepared sign for social care Atonement he's not a lawyer. The Tory government have they are he is what he said part is when you stood on the dining Jesse page can't make it go to prepare and plan for it it's not in his manifesto The only thing in his mind he's tiësto is he wants a cross party talk about it which means he's done nothing he's trying to show us the blame I mean frankly this man is haunting away from scrutiny because of all the noise he said and just nonsense and trying to bluff translate through a lot of flak to the German called he's going to pay for all comers not standing up to Jeremy Kolb and I'm standing up to lots of mentioned before sensible people like Caroline Lucas Judd Swinson Nicholas chin getting sound economic reasons to study in the McQuiston end of the day it'll take us for Scotland All right Mr Grady she she's concerned about 7 pm But then I like to. Get well why don't they accept what the referendum is if it's the United Kingdom I think you want to move from Europe I actually Syria coming from I understand that heard I understand that pain and I think that it's wrong that this was a frost upon us we shouldn't have been put in this position we shouldn't have been given this choice because David Cameron couldn't make the choice they gave they passed the buck at to us and they've ruined the country when I look at what's going on in the country now he's like you have Martha's father in t.v. This morning defending him even what is that this is like a joke if my child saw I believe this. Sometimes you need to watch the people and the context what did they want rather than politicians can decide everything and everything and everything else Fair enough why do you think you have to show you still no longer want to be a. Semite every single day and I think we weren't given that choice in Good Faith Salie we weren't given the information that we needed to make the make the decision properly and he was actually passing the buck to the big decision that we needed more to be able to make it properly and now 3 years later perhaps we can we have a better chance of making the decision and why don't we just make it again why don't we just vote to kill because the Journal of the companies then is if the decision is the same as it was last time so you've got a slight majority still say you've over about the remain as they are this coming up again with the same arguments and on the other willingness given the leverage you know the argument so well all the way around the runaround the going all in the circles one very important point about Boris Johnson not to get the prick stick and it's all up and ready it's a load of nonsense and see all the people start to notch up Brant although it's not to resume talks Mr P
