And radio Lancashire weather presenter Diane Oxford has been unveiled as part of a garden dedicated to her Diane died from cancer in January the Florida sun set roses in the sunshine garden at the R.H.S. Tatton pong Flower Show northwest of my presenter Roger Johnson says it's a fitting tribute it's filled with plants all sorts of different things sunflowers in there which have been growing by 5 local schools including a couple I think in Lancaster and the Florida sunset Rose which is being sold through Fry's roses and of every sale of every rose that will go to the Donald's very trust which is you know it's trying to help people who are being affected by a very uncomfortable which is what Diane died of in January and we'll be back with Gilly of the flower show very shortly but for now that's the latest B.B.C. She goes to B.B.C. Radio like you. Have Today programme live today from the R.H.S. Flower show where the good times are we are having a brilliant time this afternoon the sun is shining the clouds are just clearing away and there are crocodiles ability to rouse a building up a just now and again where we're still is just a lovely breeze and I know you need that or you certainly do let's. Regular. Old planes in the sky use the. Same. Please. Go and. This B.B.C. Radio Lancashire Elton John a kinky day don't go breaking my heart of school Stefon so they B.B.C. Boss this afternoon on bold they baby see both a B.B.C. Radio anxious GLEN HUNT Who is here for a few days just mixing and mingling preaching the public. People can have a go there whether there's a very special set of here with an autocue got some big monitors and they stand in front of the chromakey on a big X. I do joke that it's a trap door but they do check whether standing on and that's the prime spot for the camera in front of them and behind them instead of the curtain on the monitors you can see the B.B.C. Weather graphic so they have a go reading the weather forecast and they can video on their smartphones and send it to the friends afterwards I'm always on a Saturday morning which you go after we guess the weather presenter don't we shouldn't we do and we always have a favorite we do indeed sunshine siren chancellor today when I say guess the weather presenter it's only should go to can I know can't believe I'm doing this sight seeing that the scripts corner appear here OK hopefully will hopefully it will go up so I can carry on reading. The green line that's where you start reading and I will set the graphics running at the moment you start as well OK so now for a summary of the weather from the B.B.C. Verse of the column the outlook for today is for a woman country weather across much of the county so don't forget your low broadly and as you can see from the satellite image the cloud is focused over the southwest of England it will Cumulus Nimbus it with a clear Q misleading because it would clearly say leaving sunny spells over the north of England West of Scotland and Northern Ireland they'll be a maximum temperature 24 degrees in Tatton Park for more information Don't forget to check out our website bbc dot com dot you kid forward slash whether there was no mention of our favorite 2 words Cumulus Nimbus or high pressure high pressure well as high pressure as 24 degrees wow 24 that should go for good day it is very good really and lots more to come all on the way here live from Titan this afternoon this is taken me all B.B.C. Radio like a shot with with you through it all for this afternoon I brought David some from 4 o'clock. Thanks. To. Was. Live. Radio Lancashire the staff today live from top and lots of people still to chat so between now and full. Myself One of the gardens you were particularly taken with she is the guy actually say at the top and. With the Simon Tetlow you know what I loved about that garden was the wildlife theme of it and it had a lot of seeds in which is a good as one of my favorite bands of my own god and she goes to get carried away here she loved. The idea. It's just I mean from an open side like this within 10 days he even with life not only people but now in sex and does really well know much just comes about and was so achievable was dead dead easy for people to. Take away for. And there's a big push he had the she had all blokes jungle races I think it's becoming that kind of like we're realizing what damage we're doing to invertebrates and it's time that God moves really took responsibility and so addressing. The days are over of chokehold chemicals around you go it's time really redressing the imbalance in all it's a culture and somebody said today that we were speaking to Charlotte before and she said if the bugs win here we will be here I've. No pollination no for. The simple as a book decline 48 percent is serious business what I find really interesting Isabelle is I'm not people are very nervous about gardening and about plants because killing plants I destroy plants and and. A clock Major we had before but really what we what I find with some of these plants like the seed and specially You can't kill them they are very very hardy plants. The resilient that toff and you know I always say to anybody coming towards your culture get something simple to grow and just the act of growing makes you want to start really cultivate you more and more but stories you start simple and that's what we would like to do for time so what you when you've created your garden you have sort of put some very tough plants in their plants in a book friendly just name a few of those OK we've got seed in NJ we've got the beaners which will self seat Popple left right and center all next season we've got I.V.'s of Ivy was great in the season pollinator we've got rockets we've got wall flowers drought resistant plants that will just go on and on and on really good so the really useful advice there for people who want to pollinate their garden in tract insects and wildlife in it and also we were speaking to somebody before about some of the bugs in our gardens that are like slugs etc that people don't like and he said the Bible uses possibly lettuce in front of your house and they will they will build it doesn't tell me is with you know not here houses I might say the how he left her a good advice or what's it like because you will really still be in your garden here you know you're all our part to folks and it's moved here it's we we love people called Susan we love fairly in the sky there's 2000 acres here and you could walk away from the site and within 5 minutes you could be just in the middle of nowhere and that's how big an amazing this place safe and we've got you know 20000 people say here but certainly so big you can lose that and that's our great appeal here Tom Parker You must have some wildlife on this estate of oh my lord that's just the gold is John and we've got it we've got we've got nothing we I'm going out stags' I'm barges and you know you may see something alive this place is like a a little away system some between Manchester and Liverpool and a year in early in the morning is that the best time that you say that the wild. Life is 6 o'clock if you can get here is just your own place lovely. Kind of trespassing on the wildlife for the time of day so if I wanted to see some Dia is that the best time of day to call on the evening shift where she's over the back that are all there all waiting to come on and whatever never consider Laura just on just to show just the the wildlife a little bit of the days it put them out a day they don't mind it no no you've you come 7 o'clock on their old black box where they belong. In the here and let's just remind of it because of what in the wallet is I did yeah I know yeah you know it's real Always nice to get a power on the back from those folks in London which is always lovely but we do eats for our customers we do it for give people ideas and if we get a medal for it that's really well as have a Simon lovely Simon Tetlow they had galloped here to town and this is Peter Gabriel Salisbury Hill a LIVE FROM THE All right chest flower show herself all she'd have to come on a jungle more it's Caylee and she goes to all B.B.C. Radio and I'm sure that afternoon from here. Coming up Mom's up. Good. Times to come. Was up. To. The to. Regina Prima. Not. The show. That. She should. Slow slow. Slow slow slow. They say right here Lancashire with that video Gabriel is after their souls from hell will live from top and shipped off to calm the jungle will woman up against it but again it is warming up you know what in the morning is quite cool upbeat often in the ghetto who pay a woman in the evening it's really hot we need one of those number as we later just muddling along the over the other quite nice to get a peaceful vivid blue color with some flowers on and she looks just the picture and it doesn't say she says let's go back to they show gardens another winner of the show gardens. Police with the roses College of coming together to have a cyber crime this very interesting this is very interesting and we had a look at it before is a beautiful garden and also the concept of interacting with people and sort of talking about cyber crime at the same time as they are in and with us is Deputy Chief Constable Julie Koch from Cheshire constabulary. A big problem these days to think isn't it cyber crime it is a big problem and it affects everybody you know from very young people right through to anybody that ever uses a mobile phone nowadays any kind of computer or anything like that it does affect you know so if you are ordering clothes and things online shopping online your banking anything like that doing emailing then it affects it affects everybody people come home the locks the door the house is secure but actually when you go online you're you're opening a whole load of problems sometimes on and that's the analogy that we're making I think everybody is used to making sure that their house is secure that that their windows are close at their doors unlocked and everything like that and there are a long ways on and that kind of thing you know and actually the reason that we've come here to the to the flower flower show I shouldn't say that should I or a test tartan is because we want to make that link between gardens and actually people's home and their security but being safe online people don't always take those same precautions and that's what we're really trying to do is engage with the people that are walking around walking around the show today and just having those conversations and making people realize that it does affect them that it is something they should be interested in and we also think that much of the problems that happen online can be prevented by taking some fairly simple precautions I love the idea of the seeds that he seed pods that you're giving as well to people supplanting the seed around the fire around the 5 C. Is just explain what the 5 Cs are OK So the 5 Cs is all about security and safety online and the 1st of those is about we saying create create a strong password and lots of people use the same password over and over again or maybe out a different number keep adding to that and we give some advice really about how you can create those strong passwords the 2nd one is about cover and that's about protecting yourself protecting you know the devices that you use the antivirus software so covering yourself securing yourself really the 3rd one is confidentiality so we talk about passwords and people will tell you that they either get an e-mail or they get a phone call from someone purporting perhaps to be the bank or some other in. Telling them that something's gone wrong maybe with their P.C. On their account and telling them to give their password never give your password up you shouldn't have to give it ever legitimately you know keep that private keep it confidential the force 4th one is clicking what you click on some of those links you might get an e-mail that gives you a link only click on a if you've asked for it and you know that it's coming from you know a reasonable source don't just click on an e-mail that's coming to you and then the 5th one is about connection and the use of public why fight and making sure that if you are using public life I check to see that it's got a little padlock symbol and again just be careful about what you doing on public Wi-Fi really simple things for people to take on board out there and if you remember the 5 season remember these 5 things you can keep yourself safe which really you can absolutely and as a say it is for everybody this is just having a little think about the passwords that's probably the big one that many people will use I don't know you know mom's maiden name which is fine but you know adding some different symbols you know perhaps for some of the letters put some numbers in or some some different symbols you know a dollar sign or something like that you know perhaps if you've got what we've been saying at the show is choose 3 random words so pick 3 your own words maybe something to do with perhaps a 1st school year and maybe a dog's name something else that you know that you were Remember change some of the letters for different symbols or numbers and then maybe you know if you are going to use it for Facebook perhaps you put an F. At the beginning and a K. At the end but with the 3 random words in the middle make it quite difficult so we're trying to just give people hints of creating something more difficult and of course the longer creating something more difficult for anybody to you know to try and work out what your password might be but the longer the word and the more symbols that are in it the harder it is for anybody to try and crack it that I think the message is to keep that Password Safe Is that a lot of a lot of people put it in the front of the diaries Yeah and that's what I've been saying you know don't put kind of your passwords on you know on the fridge. I mean the really nice thing about the garden you know that's why we're getting the engagement is the work that received college has done so we kind of gave them you know what we were trying the messages that we were trying to get across and they've managed to the planting to link it to Ali flits the leaflet that we're ending out to try and raise you know raise awareness of the 5 cities so they've done that which has been really really good and I they've really enjoyed it as well so people can come across and have a look at the garden take away the whole packet take away the whole 5 sees that you've got very handy written down for people to take away and the what the taking away is a create a safe house would it is it well it's all if I say yes but you know if there was only one that you remembered is that POS would you know something that is more difficult for anybody to work out and that you're going to be a self but nobody else is likely to work out what it's going to be having and it's a great opportunity at this show to be able to chat to people and really get them to understand so beautiful garden the colleges created but you know it's a great talking point around security and safety online and then of course assisted by Ball case to make it all happen well. Through this afternoon Deputy Chief Constable Julie cook from Cheshire constabulary of course cyber crime happens wherever you will whether they like you Cheryl Cheshire it's all over and all around us as a lady is a king God Now these days this is Kim Wilde's kids in America all babysit right I'm sure Good afternoon from Philly till 4 o'clock today. they want something different you know something different to try people don't have a lot of guys have a wind to sail a conservatory all these new houses going up they don't have a lot of garden a lot of these new new bills but there's a vegetable that they can grow and and you've got so many and introduce them over the years because of as you say people go abroad the textbooks change them they do yes cabbages and things like that yes people still eat them because they're good for is now same as it's a whole revolution with the kale family you know. It's good for us all full of them to toxins and you know they have flavor of the month these kale smoothies and I have a friend has one a cow smoothie every day now my Constitution wouldn't stand a trial smear with every day do you know my husband at the moment is trying this new. New thing he's got diabetes and he's having celery juice every day and it's reducing his diabetes it's amazing yeah it's surprising health issues such as diabetes and now we're grown Corella for years and years and that it's sometimes called bitter God and and that is that lowers blood sugar up there is a very acquired taste I love it in Indian cooking is used a lot and it's a bit it's a very bitter estable be going to wash it and cook in the right way and it is beautiful it is cooked properly it is it is but you know for the health conscious all sorts of things out there that you can help to to improve your yourself Sammis tomatoes all the different colors with one indigo blue it's absolutely full of it in men's fall Indian India what is it it will glue it's a blue started life it's life out as a blue tomato purple and then turns to a deep cerise red and it has full bodied flavor I don't know that you've done it again you've walked away with the goal that we have in day 2 yes yes no that they display it came together very well despite the fortnight in June when it never stopped raining. You know what if we sought midsummer's day the 28th of June and at 5 o'clock our boilers kicked in and you bonkers bolts you brought something with a little taste of this summary something different it's beautiful it's a peach shoot there yes that's right you know these little piece use Micra grains. You can have called on blood cooking at home you know we can sprinkle peashooters all we have a golly kale little micro greens that you sprinkle on top of your food we tasted this and it's just like get shitfaced balls going very fresh appeared shoots chopped up in a salad they are delicious and we know that the whistle chef at the Freemasons uses a lot of this all right right so he's really on the ball he's on the ball easy he's a head of his time at excellent excellent lots of the travel out of course the fall this is Jack summer as a B.B.C.
