But should tell you who else is yes please OK Well Catherine tells Les who plays Eva pope in Coronation Street or used to be I think she's going to be really good she's got a really good frame you know she's an actress so kind of like a bit of performer she says she's not very good at dancing she's good at singing we know that because the background was as a singer as well but she's one to watch We've also got Michelle vis arch who if you've ever seen polls drag race. Was not what a half call. She's going to be a good one she's a very feisty lady and she's going to burn that dance for I think he's going to be really really good just whilst we are and going through the Strictly Come Dancing go out in contest is just for us and if you do have a dancing truck in mind and you want to get into it the number to call it always is always a 100 to 78 double 3583 and if you're a bit shy and you don't want to toss or Gary but I don't know I wouldn't. This low it's a song list like oh I love the Nolan's I am in the mood this just literally every other song so I love you know there's love and there's dancing bears are the most common even We've given them a cracker and also. Tweets if you have any kind of dream person that you want to see on Strictly Come Dancing because as we say they haven't revealed the full lineup so he would YOU guy who I think is a last longer Who do you think is I think my head a chef usually goes on the show and I haven't announced a chef that Syria is a box talk about because I don't get a chef yes I want to show that you go to the V.C. Back 1st. It would be brilliant but there's loads to look out for so yeah do you tweet us and let us know one more of the reveals truly don't know much about well it's a footballer so they say it was a former England and Manchester City goalie David James and he's a tall guy you know interesting to see the going to Perry movies must've huge it really is so it's going to have to be a very tall girl I'm trying to think it might picture him with but he comes across quite stay so I'm not sure about that maybe my so far as your children Yeah I think so because I mean but he is must see from here so he's got to go on the told us our Member when we were he would fall Rovers and he was in the goal would be high and it was always in the blood but yeah and like even though we were above him back but time rolls you still look the same height as my wife you must. It's got style though I have to say as well as styling guy called. Oh well we're view more of them of the show goes on right now. I can see. I want to turn. Every time when I'm away. But always by my. You. Know. take the heat I just feel like you know how to channel shocks for a day ever since ever heard so it continues tomorrow night at 9 am on B.B.C. 2. The monkey shops in culture shock. B.B.C. Radio Lancashire. It is the culture show and he's just coming up to 20 past 7 and just before the last trial we were talking about Strictly Come Dancing just a nice theme we want we want to hear from you at home with your songs. And why not from a strictly was launched while the strictly. The contest last of 2019 not so much by way of putting yourself that's why you're here because I can come up with a class of 29 C. And. 1st Trip 2019 was obviously on his daughter well they have they've got $211.00 of them now so there's not many more to be revealed and how are they to reveal no luck largest or the 1st one I think that you don't know the B.B.C. Breakfast well. On the one show they've revealed on this morning loads of different outlets have kind of like adopted one to reveal which is great because it keeps the momentum going to load the different audiences if you're a so what she stand is then you've got Emma Barton he plays honey in Eastenders So you've got a soap star there we were just talking there about kind of them called pop star now I love this because and Freeman has tweeted us and said she'd love to see Gary Barlow for Strictly Come Dancing and I love to see him to because I think that would be me. I'm not sure that he's quite a busy man he's quite busy but I think about star could be one of the last line that we have got pop star in there yet we've got as you said we've got footballers we've got George is we've got actresses we shall see well coming up after this a lot of this next year by story for us this is Dakota after this will be. Talk competition. Was exciting the the. Alloa Hey. Cults there stereo phonics you listening to the launch Arts and Culture Show with myself Steve disarm or a 100 lovely Michelle Eagleton exactly to so oh you know we likes her. Do a competition every single we shall and this week we have an amazing Maison Bryant which is comes to the northwest and that is the National this is a multi award winning production of War Horse which is based on the book by acclaimed author Michael Morpurgo and it's not just to save us this week it's for a family to kill 2 adults and 2 to get any with their performance but not Friday's or Saturday's which is and that's going to be on of the Liverpool Empire Theater and I saw the 17th of August oh I know that sounds absolutely cracking and I know sushi you were invited to the press launch last week at the Liverpool Empire Theater and you caught up with Chris Naylor he plays Kapstein fry Drake. Just being on stage with Joey the horse and have them a little bit of a. Stroke of him and he really breathing in reactance really. Come to join one of the access I'm very pleased to introduce you all a regular entry to a friend of mine from drama school Chris Inala Krisna thank you so much for joining us tonight on the ranch wasn't called Show thank you sushi it's a pleasure to see you again so you've been touring this for quite a while now what's it been like talking to different countries a play of this magnitude it's been a wonderful experience Yeah we had a great time I think with a sort of brokers in gently as they started us off in Glasgow when we were in Dublin and some U.K. Places and then we zoomed off to Hong Kong so we sort of shot to the other side of the world really and were a month in Hong Kong that a month in New Zealand we just finished there and it was wonderful extraordinary because you just don't know how it's going to translate and where the people are going to get it but I think when people see it it's kind of a universal story and the script is quite simple quite straightforward so I think it's not too complicated but I think all the themes in the play about. Humanity and kindness and human and animal relationships that sort of thing that's of emotional connection I think they're universal thing and so yeah people loved it really wherever we were I did see it we came to the Lowry a few years ago and I was amazed by the scale of the production people haven't seen it what is the play about obviously is based on a children's book by Michael Morpurgo which is made very very famous by this but what was it what's what is the story about well it's a story really of a young boy in Devon and his father buys a horse on a whim so they start with his horse but the boy gets this tremendous bond with the horse and then the war comes 1st world war and the father sells the horse to the army to the cavalry and so Albert the boy is determined to get his horse back and so he joins the army too young but he joins like a lot of people did lies about his age and goes over to France determined to find his horse. And extraordinary terrible things happen the horse gets caught over the wrong side of the trenches the front line and ends up in the German side which is where my character Friedrich comes in. Who is also you know develops a strong attachment to another of the horses and tries to get the horses through the war so it's really about this story of a determination to find some hope that the end of this appalling experience. You know I'll but trying to get back with Joey and Friedrich determined to take the top 3 on the other horse back home to his daughter. So yeah and it's told on an epic scale as you say that the effects and the puppets the lighting you know the props are amazing and massive So it's extraordinary what they mean to you when you cut the part of Friday in who holds I was thrilled I was so excited I really really wanted it I worked really hard for it. You know what it's like when there are some jobs are coming over you think like that's the one I really want that when I read the script I thought this is I can do this. I don't always think that about parts that you know you think might be a bit more a stretch but this one I thought yeah I know what that man is about so I worked very hard and you know put in plenty of time and I was just so happy to get it you know families got roots in north west when they saw it was a little bit about the yeah I'm basically the 1st generation Southerner my whole family and my In fact my I'm staying with my uncle and in Liverpool and he was showing me the family tree. Telling me this amazing story about my grandfather they were all a little pudgy in the Naylor's My grandfather was in the war and he was in the cavalry and I found this postcard of my grandfather with all of his you know fellows sitting on horses in training I think maybe on Soulsby plane or something like that and on the back is talking about how they're about to be sent over and he said we have to let go get rid of our horses because we're getting new horses to take with us and he says I'll be very sad to leave my horse behind because I think he grown quite fond of me there when you see the show I mean that's kind of the story of the place amazing to see that. So yeah it's wonderful to sort of come back here I don't really know liveable that well you know my uncle's going to take me around and reacquaint me with relatives and things. Sounds brilliant so you should and if you want to chance of seeing this award winning production of war horse then it's time full then the language and culture show. The radio like you should. So if you think you know me well that's base from E 3. 178 double 3583. 9 God. Must have been. Too near the toughest. Chance to show. Was. My way. Which is money supply and I can weigh up sure it was just so sad at the way Ken's that that fantastic and stain of that era long the one passed away at the age of 64 and of course lived in Blackpool for the majority of his life and was known for doing all shows on the paying shows in T.V. On the eighty's I grew up listening to Joe Long the one watching the Joe Long phone show and I actually got to meet him once with that the lovely Babs Windsor Wow absolutely fantastic man so you know we remembered that and celebrated today his fantastic life and what was that what was it you met him with in London and it was one of the winds as Pat said that round made or you did yeah go let's show be show . Us All that's how the weather is. So I can tell a sign so he's getting ready to host amazing concerns a big weekend this August punk all of this will give us some of this so many festivals something's going on and with the host a family from the events taking place between the 23rd and 25th of August across the weekend you'll be able to say pot into want to. Party and enjoy for gun rights and live music but organizers need your help. The finale on Sunday the fantastical forest parade between 154 Giants amongst things card if you will a 15 foot giant need me so you shot. It in maybe 5 foot one anyway since for Joe. I know absolutely Well we've got jam in the studio she's a development manager full adventure kind burn and she's also got whether they're lovely beach ASCO who's a lead artist with a handmade parade which is your guys' ation helping facilitate the event so tells a bit more about that parade and how your family can be a part of it the ladies are here to reveal all welcome to radio Lancashire how well thank you for inviting us along. So tell us about this this parade was all about well how many parade is an organization where based in. Bridge but we do work sort of nationally and we've been invited by our Clinton community groups on the council to put on one of our parades in acquaintance of a fairly exciting I think it's probably a different sort of parade to the sort of things people may be more familiar with as the name suggests we try to make everything by hand personally we like people to make their own costumes and their own props and their own puppets and so on. So it's a kind of celebration of creativity as well as kind of joy and music and celebrating together as a community and I take it a lot of planning goes into something like this because that sounds like a lot a lot of work it is quite a lot of work fortunately we've got the organization that Jim works for have taken a real the pulling together a lot of workshops both for members of the public to just drop in to but also serve local community groups getting involved as the group so it does take a lot of work and it does take a lot of. Yes And by the comm
