The remains evidence 1st choice to take over as manager following the sacking of Mark Bilbo a statement from Everson yesterday said while the club is keen to confirm a new permanence manager soon as possible the only important duty is that the right appointment is made b.b.c. News is 3 minutes past 10. In West Yorkshire where the b.b.c. Radio Hello good morning will upright and chilly day ahead of us today sas we've got to get rid of these folk patches they will gradually clear through the morning leaving us with some bright and sunny spells I think a bit later there is still a chance your child could creep in from the northwest but they won't come to tea much it's called and it's feeling very chilly today to temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and as for tonight well I shall clear off with a see them but I think this fog and low cloud will come back and revisit us and it could be a similar situation for aka me on Wednesday but I've got temperatures fully white to the right. Station for your b.b.c. Are you from your. 17th. Until the. Countdown. I've got Christmas shopping to do I probably got about 5 or 6 maybe 5 things to go and nothing comes. For doing secret Santa here. That. Did that last week I was like Is it just Bible we've got. A. Thought it was to check the mail. You know what place I mean how do you place them into we 5 pounds and then I think we all will get across the world get across route as we did last year love life looking forward to that and that fact that we've got a Christmas party on Thursday night it was meant to be last last Thursday but there was a small general election and I will stay staff members will need to get. Moved and got pushed back to the stairs that I'm not drinking and being read could I should have gone to lots of Christmas do's and lots of Christmas drinks race that lie and I had no drink whatsoever I see I can do this not drinking law. I can do at the Us Congress Matthys autonomy alley about. During the in brown from the Stone Roses tell us why it's part of Robbie Williams time she wants to make it matter. For once in your the. Why don't you hand it. . And damn lady we had on the show gosh few months ago something like that. And they were late in love love chatting to us so we thought wow and she deals in vintage cars she's called Vintage Kayla. And damn And we thought well Christmas and how we celebrate Christmas now as evolved of the year was and Kaylee knowing everything about vintage stuff that we thought what better what better Cajun to bring Kaylee Harris from golf with otherwise known as been to scale back into the show she's the woman behind the hugely popular festive of vintage your race skills she's also the author of Style Me vintage home and she runs her own store here we want to go to Monterey and good morning seasons great insist they wait until now the thing is when she came to the studio you brought some Christmas paraphernalia and I don't yeah I've been through so you're around in my storage to see what can find Christmas say so I've brought you along a few bits and pieces to tackle right up the studio as you can see it is that somewhat lacking. In Christmas. I've got for Christmas cards that people. Stray and but I'm just looking at Ok Right so you brought them to Pat So how we celebrate Christmas and Christmas decorations as really changed you know massively because where we are now in 2900 other there are still some things that I guess we do today that we did many many many years ago definitely a Mustapa tree obviously but I think we go overboard sometimes Now where is it was a little bit sparse so kind of off to the wall or you just probably a tree you know decorate it if you look decorations and it wasn't such a big thing as it is now and I think we probably did a little bit later on in December I think now we start to put the decorations almost at the end of November for a lot of people I go I says. Someone just put him up the day after finite I say too soon too soon so what you would do I put in a Christmas tree for you and it's an old one it's from the 1950 late fifty's and it is a really bright color science like its tail especially so after not having a real Christmas tree they decide it's in the fifty's that they might try to have really bright colored ones or foil ones they might not have the white yet white one silver ones all that kind of thing these back as well the so yeah and I can't really show off a decorations as well but because in the fifty's you start to get a t.v. The prime place to put your little tray was on top of that you remember so so I brought that along 2nd right I mean some of these trees nowadays go for a lot of money options something like cheese which is why it's about this $3.00 foot high Yes yes that's it that's all it is and it's foil around the middle and then it's just pipe. And it's really bright kind of a sparrow and then I use the made out of. Yeah what they used in my mouth is this one is actually just little bits of paper cut about it and it's in a teal collage Yes so I know much you know I like as much a little bit. So yeah I mean Chris was very different and I think what people then did was they kept that decorations and year after year it was no money around always talking about the country was just getting. Now I think people are sort of go for color schemes and they might change every now and again and what I also managed to find was a magazine believe it or not from this actual week in 1953. So we have things like things that Christmas present ideas. General way or sort of the same Actually there's a lot of adverts throughout the whole in that also have unusual during Can I just do something for. It's not. T.j. As we like to say I love that smell of get me anywhere where there's been touched up on a festival I have to go. An old calm yeah and a stick figure head inside. The smell of 960 I think this is an illustrated magazine weekend in December 1953 every Wednesday and of course you will pass and the Queen's 2 at 8 pages of exclusive pages feigns Yes And then your mum find the new facts on the front cover that is to go and look about probably 7 or 67 right and they actually have got more from the meal and things mean friends yes indeed I mean puppets and things like that were really popular presence in the fifty's influenced by t.v. And films you know if you were a little boy you might call a cowboy outfit if you're a little you might go pop a tall or something like that so so it's very influenced then from what was on that newly found t.v. And what was in films and stuff I've just noticed a knot of it. Flip. Thank you for this next don't flop have a flame when life seems very have a glass of Seeger's egg flavor it will do you 3 good 10. Why isn't it why you don't go and egg. Remembering it all and then there's a Christmas sweet music Christmas spangles so spangles this way of course whenever you do features on the right have not done them for years which Christmas which sweets would you like to bring back top spangles. This is yes this is also something that you know presents for your husband's pair of socks obviously we do that nowadays Anglepoise lamps little truffle clocks you know all sorts of interesting things like that. One for the leg day that's a little hair brush that. You know I think to put on your. Tiple and things like that or compact mirrors and you know so lots of interest things I do find now that I find lots of kind of these things that never opened you know and they've gone a while and the shift away neutral and then forgotten about it still is packaging which is Cournoyer says pictures of kittens Oh yeah there is a yeah cool. And there's the queen of course yes and then Gene Simmons' all this is for us it's fun you know I just wouldn't it be lovely just to get in a time machine and go back to this very week in $1951.00 I. Don't know how amazing . It was they brought you a 10. Which is charming day I mean we moan about how do you like me they are now you know but this is a tiny little chain about size of a t. Plight basically that's in the 1960 days yeah clearly we're not she got many chocolates and my mom has a if I found it in the loft the other day she had a cell in 10 which was a quality stories 10 and it looks on to the detail on the side of a space pink and it's got lots of dates they really went to town on the design I mean they make them made a lot of and you can collect them up and there's all sorts of different designs and since it was useful now I keep stuff you know these were presence of people. You know it was going to cost quite payout Yeah this is a person you know someone paying a fortune but it was a fortune but that yeah yeah but what we spend today yeah in Paris and what we spent in the 1950 s. And sixty's Yeah exactly I mean the children then had to have the traditional stocking with. Nickel and I played orange in my thoughts. But also they did start to get mine present just one mine present when I think the eighty's when I was a child Yeah I don't think it's you know how can I who so beautiful that in very just photos of us that will generate a whole stack Also I know you parents would take that picture yes it opened a couple and then the Polaroid camera would come out. I stay that text or your presence where I was then they did have a main present but yeah they didn't have a lot of presence. You know so different while some people say I brought you an annual I mean we don't tend to do with any mill is a done deal but you know actually it's going into the seventy's they all really loved I had Rukia wallpaper I just you know yeah I said Wow So yeah this is great but so I remember every economical Yeah and I think I can I started I probably saw a little bit earlier I thought about thirty's and forty's and it just went on from that but it was just a really nice things how I knew also something because Blue Peter every year didn't I knew and I get all the way through from you know I think Yeah absolutely yeah every single Yeah some of some of them are those are quite collectible actually if you can find one in the loft there is a rip a bear on you will from the mid seventy's that was printed sort of with a mistake in it so that's with shame but there aren't very many of those about but yeah I mean every day on you now you can go and buy Fitzjohn's and you want to cost you $3.00 or 4 quid you know but it's just got puzzles and Guy and activities and storage is so yeah the bag of this is just takes me back to childhood and the bad tricks parts of books this file that I used to raid when I was oh yeah I can just see a room for the bad a little songs like in a book or a guy you know something like that was really popular as as well you know a bald guy and when do you think it starts to change it's definitely I use this name back in the seventy's that I get it doesn't say is I mean a lot of more plastic was introduced in the seventy's so so the shift in change in what people buying is present was different I think people with them you know we were more influence previously for films and tape a and people liked music and I liked technical things and you know I keep. Boards and wont you know see things sort of shift it as technology did I guess when did Bobby arrive which only well since he was 6 days and I think Bobby was a round the same time but she was more Americans we had Cindy radio for here and some of those early Cyndi's a guy worth a lot of money but course only if they're in the box Now what did you do as a child you were trying to help so why exactly and that was that you know last of the shoes lost the last of the class was that so yeah you know things like that if that boxed sometimes you say Ice I sometimes say You know I things that ended up somehow in a loft in about and then it comes out again sort of 40 is after amazing some people because Cash was in you know a lot of people a lot of money so they used to make presents to know yeah definitely I've seen a lot of my things you know people would do embroider Rayo you know need to jump up for example I mean even I've had some Don't you need to do yes so my nans ones. Jump off that kind of thing so you know so yeah you could make things if you didn't have enough money and that they were dependent on you know what you go how much how much money how do you know what we're talking about how things work Christmas wise and you know whether it's the forty's fifty's sixty's you know you look at what we've got today and that Christmas is is just a massive commercial exercise is network Christmas seem to mean something different and yeah definitely more family a way incited and unless about loads of stuff and spending time trying bald guy you know we don't quite do that as much now as we should we're all sitting on my phones or playing computer games instead and to do a board game or a quiz or something like that it's great fun at Christmas so I think yeah we should definitely bring that kind of thing back really yeah you know this Christmas if we can get all the for all the family to kind of turn their phones off yeah and just play a board game. Something whether it's scrap all over the connect father. I loved. There was one called downfall which particularly light switches by m.b. Games and I love that because you got these dials and you got these little kind things that you kind of. Do you know I can remember yeah you like but they are tiny and you put those in and you basically had to get it down to the bottom and I love to just I mean because I'm the easiest is that a just play I was. You know also sketches things were Musk's objects on my phone my cars in the ways Lou if you're listening here tonight sketch and I didn't have one I wanted when I was used to play with the arch scotch I never got one of them in my party so went somewhere recently inlays Chloe's ago and they had that sketch on the walls and I. Had to sketch Yes I think I said was my cousin Louise that one of the can you believe they brought those out in the sixty's actually I don't quite yet they were brought out quite an America popular thing that that's all I'm you know yeah but I could never do those are Didn't think I'd go par looked at you know for that and then you did then someone to come along when you've done something really pretty you're really proud of it you shine your parents or friends and then someone to come across and shake it and destroy you walk in vintage Caylee's home was was house looking like because obviously your world is is full of Venice you don't see do you have a lot of in which to have decorations or shop one of my tree up or a little at least 200 Yeah. Him a long time it's like a flock sometime now everybody happy I reckon yeah. I was talking about they sometimes oh this is the sun to the I've got it's very similar to this it's made up the same flock and slightly bigger it's probably about as big as 100 dots and Ani's thought that was a couple of bites and he sent me with my teeth when I was 18 months old us my mouth another bite of it and I can't find oh no. Right in the ninety's than it's been divided in a house I can't find and I'm I've you know the trouble people cleared out decorations again I was not. Going to think it's still like that. So yeah. I have a few I have I have some Martin things and I have some vintage and mix it up because I think that's not a lot of people the way to do it is now I think a lot of people do that there's this you know this particular ball pulls this particular decorations that people have that mean a lot to some of us that they've had it since childhood Yeah that's a country memories don't I and those ones we don't want to get rid of and also tinsel people seem to frown upon since I'm like Get to get all of that tray I have to hanging off some pictures in my living room I do around the memories and everything and I have some friends come around look at it they don't say anything you can see that given the icon you got and still how I was that day I said but anyway I'm just very quickly tell us about your calls as well so that I mean that show is that is happening that share I've now got the line up sort it's up to all the bombs but 10 tickets are on sale and it's the 25th and $26.00 of 8 Pro price course that's really saying it's happening news it dumps in classic cars and this thing is massive it is time you've come across a bass. And you do this every single. Search after Christmas my head is down and I've got lots of work to gosh well listen I wish you a Merry Christmas and we have a lovely time you base they always say I have an announcer I have to on time it Christmas and then yeah I and then get cracking again in January basically amazing .
