Activities for gardening and gym equipment and the weather for Leicestershire a Medland spose the sunshine but a scattering of showers together with brisk winds also the showers will be locally heavy and thundery for a time before anything by this evening now out to day's temperatures up to some to 2 degrees Fahrenheit that's $22.00 centigrade and tonight it's going to be a dry night and the winds will ease and it's going to be a bit better so top temperatures tonight $11.00 to $14.00 Celsius that's $52.00 to $57.00 found hight B.B.C. Radio lesson news thanks but it. Is the travel from. Yes this weekend in the city the road is closed between the having to road Granville road junction and the railway station expect Regent road to be extra busy at most times as people look for any alternative route if it is by Welford Road and Tiger's way staying in the city and there's also a closure today and tomorrow on black but road from the groovy road FOS road junction to MC Lane It's a central reservation reservation works carried out and if you're not a fast part this morning don't forget there are speed restrictions and Lang Lang closures on both sides of sore Valley Way bridge repairs continue I'll have you next update at 1030. Right. Let's. Let. 12 minutes past 10 o'clock with Calvin Harris giant. Dragon bow man so the magic of Thailand festival is visiting Leicester for the 1st time this weekend runs across 10 cities this summer but visits our area for the 1st time it's a Victoria Park and days are just opened and our reporter John Alexander has gone down to see what is going on how's it looking down there John is it stopped raining . It's looking right. You know I regret leaving my sunglasses. Because it was quite gray sky was the color recall great when I left the booth at this mall and it was wet it was truly and now it's a beautiful day it's like being in Thailand I've never been to Thailand if you have that's when I fell my Yeah I mean. Oh look he is you know I felt that some of us are not fortunate in life maybe all right. So for me I'll just enjoy Thailand did lest I with the brains of the operation done you a big genuinely good much you could silence specifically Well my my partner's from Thailand essentially and I'd like to say she's really the brains behind it all she started off the 1st event in our local town down in the south coast. And just people love what we had at an office you know what we would with we're sharing and we've built a business and now we've got to do 10 vents across the U.K. And we love to show you know and we really would be happy to come to Leicester and show been here for the 1st time this year what was the 1st event like. Well I think we've become a bit more polished these days and now she was lovely about the event is that you know the traders and all the people that help put it on the entertainment you know where we're like a big family now so we self-taught touring around the country but the 1st event was actually we were 1st meeting each other at the beginning of the whole relationship together so I was a little bit more vague but as I say it was new for us to do but the reaction from the crowds of what we you know the entertainment and the food and the activities we had on offer was really really great and so that's what encouraged us to build and build and build more events and the next thing you know you're at 10 events Yeah and I'm incredibly complicated company of it really really happy so what's going to happen today I mean I'm just looking around we're in a quiet space you Paul of the public radio you friends through Alofa it's all yours for the day you've got quite a few try to sell in clothes and food I spy a couple of my saw stables there is just for a lie down. And if the singer gets it it would be too much for some people well yeah we've got some incredible traders have all sorts of different products we've got the messages you mention lots of incredible food from all different regions of Thailand got the main stage of course as well we've got lots coming up on there lots of entertainment. Demonstrations have got a family friendly ladyboys show so lips thinking and stuff you know really hilarious eating competition like bush tucker trials insects and some challenging things which is a hilarious show to watch. Also traditional dancing as well as additional folk singing so lots and lots of things to make you feel like you've transported to Thailand and you go back to Taiwan call it don't you we do yeah I mean we like to go back in the soft new ideas and. The props and things we bring bring back to create the atmosphere and that sense of that comes Thailand's all come from when we go back over and fly back into the U.K. To go on our show. I've sparred with people on. A traditional Tele with you. Know I mean that's just because the sun is shining and so also we love to provide ice cream the Brits quite like ice cream in the sun shining they're actually shipping. Stuff ice cream actually which is a bit more traditional Still from I always screw you yeah it's a sort of special technique where they use a refrigerator so flat pan and then they pour out the cream and put in some like. Biscuits and different things you whatever you choose to put inside and then they sort of chop it all up with some things and scrape it into a bigger role it is quite traditional way of having ice cream in Thailand I think remarks of it will go on. Saw it will talk community in the U.K. . It's not it's not too bad it is. I don't know I don't know the exact figures but they said he likes coming to our events and enjoy themselves but I mean the event is actually open to everyone so we often the large majority of people that come and enjoy themselves here will be. Standard British population. Because they enjoy what we've got to offer I think Thailand is one of those cultures that she's really so safe and friendly and familiar in some ways the food is. Doing really really well in the U.K. I mean that's just growing and growing in popularity. And then also just this there's so much interesting things and different things about Thailand worth coming to take a look at the mall here to the top tourist board are going to hear is oh time i always going to be here they are they giving away flights today there is actually the raffle prizes in incredible price thanks to higher rates of a holiday voucher which you get used to any destination of your choice I think tickets are only 2 pounds for a raffle I would join the prize around 5 pm If you're not actually in the in the field with us to meet you all that price we phone the phone number on that ticket directly from the stage so make sure you buy sell raffle ticket make sure your phone is next year around 5 pm and one of you gets to win incredible holiday voucher Wow That's pretty good times 1st of all that I. Put in 10 o'clock and isolation around about 7 o'clock. 5 pounds on the gate for adults but kids the phrase is a real family focused event 15 on that I see you again for 3 brilliant half. I can handle the spice now I've been living with my partner for a while now and she comes over and helps us with the event in the summer and so when she's cooking spices go out of a higher I've got used to it now I'll tell her it's now I had to go to with people like thank you very much have a wall in the round I should try and fall myself some stuff I don't scream try not to get knocked out by talking and have a thought really look after me in the sunshine Thank you you go Saturday going to. Join what I'd like to do by the time we speak next I'm lucky to have had some of that stuff maybe maybe even had a massive. Staff dry ice cream on the my side if I have a muscle and you won't get a 2nd paces up the sound this now you showed up in the cold room. Or in the stock car. Maybe leave it for the last hit that but definitely have some of that stuff sounds amazing. I'll go and investigate you know Scott and all my good man good man thank you very much a day that's John I was on the he is life for us Victoria Paul at the time on festival. Yeah you know why not. But. Who will. Take you. To. The top players. Talking about Islam honestly isn't. Talking about a warm wind blowing Well Alex is there a warm wind blowing do you think. Warmish certainly it is and get warmer over the next few days so today it's a mixture of sunshine on one hand but also some scattered showers some of those showers could be have your thunder but equally this afternoon there will be some dry run brushes spells with highs of around $21.00 degrees Celsius now many remaining showers will die away this evening and then it looks dry you tonight with lows are 11 degrees Celsius Sunday will be a warm day with sunshine again some fire weather clouds just a gentle south westerly breeze and highs around 23 degrees Celsius Monday again look strongly with the sunshine summer sunshine will become very warm by the afternoon at 27 degrees Celsius Tuesday and it's like it's getting up to 30 degrees Celsius and perhaps not going up to 31 degrees Celsius by Wednesday so a very warm in date and on Wednesday night alone we get down to around 19 degrees Celsius so I want honest warning get your electric fan out the attic because you may be needing it for sleeping on Tuesday and Wednesday night thanks a lot about with us in. Radio. You. Can. See it. Can. Be a. Few . Weeks. To Chechnya. I. Thanked. Her. And on the run in the 1st degree B.B.C. Radio lasted 26 minutes past 10 o'clock at Cerro with you now then we were chatting a little bit earlier with John and Tina and of course today is also a culmination I suppose all of the moon week that we've had is when they actually landed all the Moon and we had to take Stan from Ginny in Branston town saying you can't be talking about a different take on moon landings on you've got one for you Well Ginny joins us now I'm delighted to say hello good morning to Jenny by morning so yeah what is your different take then on the moon landing something to do with your grandma is that right yes yes she she lives in a little village called the neck or be an elephant to chair she looks a little obvious Megan from being actually she was there and live the life until she was 62. When she got a new hair or a whole lot whole heard music on the television and so up got to the way she she was so level of people so she started well like well I don't she think was the way Apollo more landing call them into space Monica. Which she felt up to lock her up. Yes she stands up to that. And I guess if I get in the way I guess in those days it was as it was and that So was it or something as well or yeah yeah I think would have been written laughter she got me thought about thanking her and everything she also wrote a prayer for peace which it's rumored we don't know if it's true but we believe that a copy about fall went up into space with Apollo 11 for the moon landing. And she was she wrote quite a few of the same rules. She did have are a group a young group that used to play some of the songs somewhere. She wrote she wrote to know in the famous people trying to get them to take almost songs and got replies back from them people like Harry seek a mark on the ground. Helen Shapiro I mean none of them soccer songs up but a lot of people replied and she kept all the left to so we got a couple scrapbooks of the things that she had so tell us more about them the the possibility that one of her songs went up in Apollo 11 Why do you think that. Earlier we just always thought that whether she told a thought I don't know we haven't gotten any old stuff we've got we've got nothing written down to say the to go or. We're not absolute. But we will relate Oh right it was well the why not something is nice and you believe in it yeah we know if we could buy well. Yes Yes well that they must have a record of everything that went went up that and a month or so. And then just on some of you you know members of the family you're going to be on telly on Monday is that right yes we're going to look a studio in Cambridge and they play my 2 sisters. And. Cousins daughter so she is a great granddaughter of our grandma right to talk about and also about your grandma Yeah yeah we'll talk about it. Because I didn't know her later in the week this week. Looks like a bit that somebody in the village but she lived to stay we lived there. Oh well that's nice it's nice you can actually or Yeah well she cheated looked over that she she she longed to be famous something they call one of the thongs she developed all day. Always good that you're carrying on her legacy and getting a ribbon I am even now Yes Well thanks so much for getting in touch Jenny appreciate your time thanks thank you thank you and enjoy it well we'll watch out for you on the tele on Monday but well I'll call it off. Thanks very much that's such a name from King thank you for Bronston town to go in touch on the tax just to say that Grandma had written some songs and they hope they think the one of us all who prophet peace was actually taken up in Apollo 11 to the moon I'm sure they go they'll have a list at NASA of things that went up there I'm pretty sure in the history books that it's help us stand. Let's get the latest on the roads have from Jack yes there it is Jack and yes. There are a reminder that this weekend in the city a 6 London road is closed between having to road and the road junction all the way down to the railway station the official diversion takes you by Victoria Park Road Welford Road and Tiger's way and then of course vice versa we do expect Regent road to be extra busy at most times as well today as people look for their alternative route staying in the city and there's also a cliff used today and tomorrow on Black bad road from the group the road force road junction 2 and city lane that says the central reservation works are carried out as a result of that expect Bookman's to drive which you situated just off the grid be fostering should be busy as people use that as a diversion going around the closure elsewhere on the network this weekend in Kirby looks like templates were around the main street route be lame roundabout not to get it works expect that to be busy most times and then finally in lookbook close to the university 7 track water coming out a water main when you walk along the road just down from the opponent away on Island I have your next tropical date after 11 o'clock. You. Can see. A great thing. To Going to. Cut cut. Cut cut cut. Cut cut cut cut. Cut cut cut. Cut. Cut. Cut cut cut cut. Cut. Cut. Wow there with my song 23 minutes to 11 o'clock. We're going to be finding out. And. Such. Was. The. Question. Was. Was. 20. Until 12 o'clock today now if you were listening to the show last week with the rude poll you will have heard a random conversation that they had about Dale nails weight loss I happened to catch I think I was on my way to the head dresses or something the company was trying to swat a fly and then they were talking about anyway with Jude to go on holiday and that he's gone on holiday today but despite doing the usual diet he wasn't able to lose as much weight as he thought he could that's probably because we eat pancakes when we go around on clueless people had suggestions of drinking ice water drinking warm water eating watermelon but one idea stood out body wraps Well earlier this week Dale went along to a solid inside stand to see if really if they could really help him lose a few inches if you remember last week and last couple weeks we've been having these random conversations about how to lose weight and thank you for all the suggestions from drinking ice water to grazing on watermelon but one that stood out for me was a treatment which I'd never heard of before so I was intrigued It's called an inch last body wrap. And apparently you can do some inches so it should work for me in theory so I've come along. And I've got Vicki walk a good morning good morning tell me where we are 1st of all it's a big loss Alan in size 10 and interest body rap is it what it says on the tin Yes it is very effective it's been around this universal contour it's been around for about 25 years and yet we have lots of ladies and gents that have it done and it works really well you say lots of ladies I'm guessing T. Get many chances I haven't done a huge amount of gents no but yeah we do get the odd one coming in and but yeah majority ladies OK So explain how it works then basically the we wrap the body in bandages that a soaked in secret the secret A has 5 main ingredients that basically help to detoxify the body get rid of water retention purify the body it has a next variation effect on the skin as well so makes the skin nice and soft and smooth so we wrap the body in bandages literally from the ankles up to the neck and you stay wrapped in the bandages for about an hour and then we measure beforehand and afterwards and yeah it works really well OK And so the key thing is that you actually lose weight because it taking away funds or anything like that or no basically what it's doing is it's helping to detoxify the body so it's working on water retention and toxins in the body so what it does is it helps to get rid of the water in there toxins that stored in key areas so you lose interest you don't lose weight with the treatment search but it's more the last you get with the treatment OK so that's something the more work for me because I've always been around about the same white but it's the it's the bits on the side it's those wobbly bits that kind of yeah you know I mean Tony Yeah those ones so we're going to give it a go there so where do we start Well 1st of all we start off with a little consultation card and then we start off with measuring it OK now I just good job this is radio because I'm down to my pants because this is Cover see how it works so. We're going to measure So where do we start that's all comes as a long list yes we measure a lot of areas there's actually 18 areas that we measure but we start off on the 10 start at the bottom the legs. Because Nice thought I bottomed hips to me waist chest biceps. You can measure the wrist as well and if people get water or bolt swelling around there are a lot of areas where I'm OK so let's get these measurements going and see where we go from there. So I've been measured and that you can hear in the background is the bandages the serener or kind of like a virus of clay I mean that is Clay isn't it yes yes it's clay and this is called like a water bath so keep them up makes north and warm and so obviously then with the heat that'll open up all the paws so these are going to be on
