We've all got them stories we're talking about seconds and next Nope Liverpool's fairest may just say his festival they're going to be bringing together all kinds of stuff performances with shops and you know jackets all kinds of stuff I'll tell you but most of the show men this. Kid. Can. Think the fact. Sure menders ever comes over you on b.b.c. Radio movies Howard Shore up till 12 noon it's rugby with the phone in between 12 and 2 get you call in and about terminus Samford larger than they are always a great show always a great listen I mean we want you to say parts are always on dude 73193 double 3 now we're all a member of the big chop the clowns to whom book into confetti and Walter normal with the plays book The World of the sickest has moved on a lot since then Stanton later on this week Liverpool for major say his festival are going to bring together performances with sharply you've proved you have to unload more besides I recollected on this it's called Sequoia and Nick on somebody's link of drop by to tell us what it's all about fellows welcome to radio Moses out Oh thank you very much sic Wadia is that called an off so Cadia sic a I mean I get it wrong you know that when you're the one sick so tell us if you have the artistic director so tell us about it it's a contemporary circus isn't it yes so it's the idea of using circus skills within a kind of like more theatre kind of environment Sonia and it's smaller scale so it's not like a big spectacle I mean we all know about like the greatest showman ever really seen that now a lot of people obviously have been so go and see Cirque de Soleil when they've been a live here was an amazing huge great spectacle to go and see with a lot of amazing performers but our idea is to bring it into a much smaller venue and showcase your performers as individuals get really close to them and where you can really sort of get involved in what you doing and also offer people opportunities to do it themselves we've been teaching now in Liverpool for about 15 years at various different locations and some of our students have gone on to be performers themselves and we've got some of them coming back and performing on the scratch which is the Friday night. So we've got I think we got 33 of our excuse for me that night. And one of the a couple of them of being down to study the National Center for Circus Arts in London we've got another. Compound for the whole night who goes under the name of Elmer Von Bonbon she's now that's not a new man and I would say it's not really having. A real knack she's got a few different personas and she compares. Cabaret events but she's also an aerialist so she performs in the air she does the unicycle she's kind of multi-talented and she tours and she goes abroad and works all over the place now she studied in Sheffield so we've got contacts with different places. And that's that's what we're trying to do with bringing some of these people back giving them an opportunity to perform but we've also got performers coming in on the Saturday night who are touring at the moment Laura Murphy who's doing a show called contracts a one woman show she and she's an aerialist who performs on called Elise which is a free hanging rope but she combines that with stand up comedy various other elements and it's a one woman show and she's touring that in Europe and Britain at the moment so we're really lucky to have a here and that's going to be really good so got 2 really good night's performance berries you're from Fleet for party which is an organization based on the book will tell us about the work you do that. Were set up of course we had a circus theatre company called Black and Blue and we were in partnership with the black in Liverpool after that partnership with them meant to the Florey to so because what we realised that Liverpool is a seemed to be a place of invisible borders for young people and they were going to move from one area turn out that we had to move ourselves so it felt like we were moving around and then we could access. Kids from other radios than to continue in the outreach work and often never turn workin in different areas and then bring in now all together not just means that a little bit of a circus help at the Florey No if you want to do so case we've got the Florey we don't I don't classes we're going to kids class on a Tuesday so it's just about bringing the community together and having a help for it really so what sort of people leavers might get through to those families. Well our students are a mix of people there are people who are interested in circuses exercise 1st there are other people who are interested in a career in this case and don't know where to find a starting point and it's about giving those people a start in part and they might do some discipline for a few weeks they'll find another discipline in circus there's something for everyone to do if you don't like juggling balls you might find juggling yourself in the area more entertaining for years so it's about giving people a way in and then signposts in them to different courses or other things that they can do within circus so it's changed dramatically what about the clowns of the clowns things. Clowning these to I mean obviously you've got your traditional clowns still doing what you know what most people think of clowning in the way exam the fits the make up but also clowning that goes into theatre doesn't that and. Well I think physical theatre these
